OSS Exits Scucessfully
PushToTest is an open source software (OSS) company. We publish the TestMaker platform under a dual license: commercial license with limits and the GPL license. We are privately held and financed. For a long time I have been looking at how other OSS companies would be purchased or go public. Some of my skeptical friends say the JBoss sale to RedHat was essentially an insider transaction because one OSS company bought another OSS company.
This week Yahoo bought Zimbra for $350 million. Yahoo's acquisition is a solid example of a public company buying an OSS company.
Congratulations Zimbra.
