TOPIC: Playing test scenario in editor fails

Playing test scenario in editor fails 2 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi ,

First of all: I\'m a noob and trying to run some tests I designed using Selenium IDE.

The issue is:

When opening any test scenario in the TestMaker editor and clicking \'play\' then the application fails to run the controller.

I checked the output log and noticed some connection errors....
I guess it\'s something with the Repository...?

Please see attachment for the error log.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hey,

I ran in to similar situation where my functional test scenario fails to run from editor.
The test was created using the testmaker designer with script type as selenium and executed fine through designer. It fails to run through the testnode using editor.

I have attached the log file here. Appreciate if some one can help on resolving this issue.

Thank you.

Hi,

It looks like from your logs \"1527\" port is busy with some other application. After starting the test maker could you please check at Repository tab.

Logs should look like this:

\"11-04-26 05:09:38.734 GMT : Security manager installed using the Basic server security policy.
2011-04-26 05:09:39.453 GMT : Apache Derby Network Server - 10.6.2.1 - (999685) started and ready to accept connections on port 1527\"
Solution

1) If you are not getting these kind of logs, just make sure your port is free to run Derby, and then restart test maker. Let me know the results.

or

2) Go to preferences from console and check the repository tab, where you can configure database properties.

Thank you.

Having the same issue. I am using a MAC and FF4.0

This is what i see in the repository tab:

2011-04-28 23:23:22.679 GMT : Security manager installed using the Basic server security policy.
2011-04-28 23:23:23.155 GMT : Could not listen on port 1527 on host 0.0.0.0:
java.net.BindException: Address already in use

I also tried your second option to change the port number and create DB. I changed port to 1526 , but still get the error for port 1527.
